Game Mechanics #2: Zombie mmo

I am always puzzled why I cant find any good zombie mmo out there. This is a concept I have for awhile now, but too busy to make it happen. But the concept should be easy to follow.

Players will be put in a world overrun by zombies and must band together to survive, reach extraction point, or other goals that one will do during zombie apocalypses. Since this will be a mmo game. The following will be the features:

- No level ups, its not a grind fest, its survival game.
- Instead of a huge map where every player from around the world will reside, map instance will be used. Perhaps in "Safe zone" will all players be present, but when you go on missions or when traveling on foot to other cities, game instance will be used. The game system will ensure that each instance will have a maximum of number of players present, if there are more, a new instance will be generated. The key point I am stressing in this system is isolation, thats what make zombie games cool, wont be as epic if there are 100 players vs 1 zombie
- Goal: Either to stay alive as long as you can or Reach extraction point
- "Crafting", make-shift weapons from random stuff
- Food/water every couple hrs or death
- "Sleep" when you log off, but game still runs. So have to find safe place to log off. (probably have to barracde doors and stuff before going)

Thats all I have for now.

Game Mechanics #1 : Maze Game

We all remember the maze games we played on paper when we were kids. Tracing our way through the maze until we reach the end is a satisfying feeling. What if we turn this into a modern game idea? A game that is solely focused on escaping a maze. A realistic 3D Maze.

Premise

The hero wake up in the middle of the maze, disoriented and has no idea where he is. His only mission is to get out of this maze. Hungry and tired, he now has only a matter of hours before he die of starvation.

Features

- The game will be played via a 3rd person or isomatric view.
- There will not be a map throughout the entire game, the player must figure out their own way to keep from getting lost.
- The player can paint walls to mark his location.
- The player can start fire so the smoke will lead him to the nearest air opening depending on the direction of the smoke
- There will be a time limit on the player also, because the player will die from starvation. Unless he finds food somewhere.

To add more excitement to this game, can also incorporate monsters that lurk these maze and will kill you if it discovers you. What do you guys think? Thats all I have on this idea, might expand more on this later on.
